This short day trip offers you a great introduction to the Southern Myanmar where you can find some interesting facts and historic relics from the Death Railways of Thanbyuzayet, the fascinating capital of Tanintharyi division - Dawei to the Border Town of Htee Khee. It’s a short but exciting excursion to discover some less known areas of Myanmar.

After breakfast, set off your journey to Thanbyuzayet known as the end of Death Railways where thousands of prisoners of war died during its construction period. The roads are narrower lined with villages which are smaller.
Along the way, there is a stop at the Banana Mountain where you can get the panoramic views over the entire Ye valley. There are four huge sitting Buddha statues with a staircase inside leading up to the viewing platform. The stunning views as well as amazing decorations make it worth a climb.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Ye. After lunch, continue your journey to the Tanintharyi Mountain ridge. Once on the top, you will be checked your passport as an announcement of our appearance in Dawei. Upon arrival in Dawei, check in your hotel.
With a long lasting history, the city is well known for its magnificent colonial styled buildings dating back long time ago.
After breakfast, stroll around the city of Dawei for a glimpse of local life and interesting attractions.
Being the capital of Tavoy division in the south of Myanmar, the city remains charming with a long lasting history and beautiful colonial styled buildings throughout the city.
Joining our tour, you will have a special chance to explore the traditional medicine in the southern Myanmar. You will also make a stop at old colonial buildings to get a closer look at the fascinating architecture dating back a long time ago.
Learning more about local culture is also the highlight of the tour. There will be various opportunities to interact and chat with friendly locals. During your excursion, you also have a taste of unique local cuisine.
After lunch, pay a visit to the Tanintharyi Regional Museum to explore its stunning collection of bronze coins, portraits or wooden ancient Buddha images. You also have great opportunity to get to know more about the history of Moken with fascinating sculptures and pictures.
In the afternoon, continue your trip to the famous Maung Ma Gan Beach. Take your time to relax with a refreshing swim in the tranquility of nature before enjoying a delicious seafood dinner.
After a great time on the beach, head back to your hotel.
After breakfast, take a drive to the border town of Htee Khee in Myanmar. For the first section of your drive to Myitta Township, you can admire the plenty of lush rubber and beetle nut plantation. The other section is on unsealed road and along the Tanintharyi River. Along the way, take in the beautiful scenery of the Tanintharyi mountains. After finishing immigration process, you are on your way to Thailand.
