Upon your arrival in Putao, you will be transferred to a guesthouse for a waiting adventure.
Putao is the northernmost town of Kachin State, Myanmar. This charming town situated on the bank of Namlaung River and surrounded by snow-capped mountains and where the weather is cold year around. Putao is the starting point for Myanmar's most adventurous trekking expeditions; it is an adventure to remember. After checking in, set off your exploration by taking a walk to the town centre. On the way, make a stop to visit the local market where you can find a wide range of products which are for sale. Take your time to chat with the friendly locals here.

Activities: Visit the Putao Market, hike to Namtunkoo, pass by fields and a lush forest, climb up the hill, transfer back to Namtunkoo
This morning, try to wake up early to visit the Putao Market. Soak in the bustling ambience of the region as the locals from ethnic groups flock together to sell and buy their fresh produce. Afterwards, depart your hiking adventure to Namtunkoo. Your interesting trek will pass by fields and a lush forest before climbing up the nearby hill. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the best of nature on the hill before travelling to Namtunkoo. Located in the Namhtun Mountain range which is at quite high level from the ground, this charming village is home to Lisu. Spend peaceful evening moments in Lisu’s guesthouse to get a glimpse of their daily life.

Activities: Trek along Namhtun creek, through bamboo forests and flat farmlands, stop at Mulashidi village, take a tuktuk back to Putao
This day, say goodbye to your host families for a beautiful 2.5 km trek along the Namhtun creek. In the next three hours of trekking, you will be amazed with green bamboo forests and flat farmlands which offer spectacular views along your way. Enjoy stunning sights of the Mula creek winding through the Putao plain. After reaching Mulashidi village in the afternoon, take a tuktuk to transfer back to Putao.

Activities: Walk through a beautiful suspension bridge to get to Machanbaw town, visit the market, historic sites, the “dragon park”, turn back to Putao, free to relax
This morning, your excursion continues to the enchanting town of Machanbaw, about 20 km from Putao which houses some colonial buildings. As reaching the Malikha River, take a walk through a beautiful suspension bridge to get to Manchanbaw. Your leisure walk will discover the highlights of the region including the market, historic sites. You could also learn more about the local culture through the “dragon park” on the outside of town. Here you can see an amazing picture of natural rock formations which look like dragons and snakes. Afterwards, turn back to Putao for lunch and spend the rest of the day relaxing in town. Dinner and overnight at Putao Trekking House.
Activities: Trek and bike to visit the outskirts of Putao, travel to Mudon to visit villages or travel around Hopaing to see its bamboo groves, paddy fields and Shan villages
Today, you will combine trekking and biking tour to visit the outskirts of Putao. There are two options for you to choose. You could make your way to Mudon where you have chance to visit some villages of Lisu and Shan people, admire the impressive Buddha image and enjoy stunning views of the Putao valley. Alternatively, you could travel around Hopaing to see its bamboo groves, paddy fields and Shan villages. Whatever option you choose, you get an interesting experience in this unusual adventure.
